This research project was funded by the National Science Foundation (OPP 00-82715)
and the National Council for Eurasian and East European Research.
Neither bears any responsibility for the findings from this research. The project
combined data from attitudinal surveys with behavioral experiments conducted in the field. The research was carried out in Tatarstan and Yakutia (Sakha) from May 22 through July 22, 2002. The research team was made up of Rick Wilson (Rice University) and Donna Bahry(Pennsylvania State University). Notable help came from Sam Whitt (Vanderbilt) who joined the team for the field research and numerous others. |
